WMS Gaming has captured Spartacus and his fellow warriors in a brand-new video slot game they have dubbed 'Spartacus Call to Arms'. More than just a Roman-themed game.
Spartacus Call to Arms Slot
The unusual part of Spartacus Call to Arms slot game is its reel configuration. You should see the main reel set consisting of 5 reels with four positions each. To the right are two columns with four reel positions each. The main reel set spins as normal whenever you click the 'Spin' button. The columns do not. Instead, new symbols fall into place while the main wheels are spinning.
Matching symbols in the columns generate a win on their own with a 2X multiplier in play. Combining those symbols with winning combinations of the same symbols on the main reel set increases the multiplier. Three total symbols apply a 3X multiplier, four total symbols applies a 5X multiplier, and so on. The maximum multiplier is 500X for matching all eight symbols.
The Wild symbol is a standard Wild. It substitutes for all others except the Scatter symbol. But it does have one additional feature unique to this game: any Wild symbols appearing on the columns automatically transfer to the corresponding reel positions in the main set. Scatter symbols pay separate awards and trigger the Free Spins bonus.
Bonus Features
The only other bonus feature in Spartacus Call to Arms slot game – aside from the multipliers attached to the columns – is a Free Spins bonus game. The bonus game starts with 10 free spins after you land Scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. Landing Scatter symbols on the same three reels during the bonus game awards 10 extra free spins.
The main strength of the Free Spins bonus is, again, the columns on the right. The same rules apply in terms of using those symbols in winning combinations and Wild symbols moving to the main reel set. The difference is in the value of the multipliers. Where the minimum and maximum multipliers in the main game are 2X and 500X respectively, they are 4X and 1000X in the bonus game.
As just one more way to improve the gaming experience, extra Wild symbols are added to the reels. You have more opportunity to win with standard combinations and those utilising symbols from the columns.
