Into the Storm Features
The base game is formed by 5 reels and 3 rows. The low paying symbols are five markings from Norse mythology, while the higher paying symbols are a horned helmet, a female Viking and two male Vikings.
These are accompanied by Wild Viking symbols which substitute all other symbols, except for the Kraken Bonus symbol. The Wild Viking symbol only appears during the base game or the Walking Wild re-spin feature. There is also the Kraken Bonus symbol, which can trigger the Kraken Bonus Feature.
Walking Wild Feature
On the off-chance, a re-spin will be randomly triggered during the base game. Between 2 and 5 Walking Wild symbols will appear on the reels, and with every spin, the waves will shift them one step to the left or one step to the right. If a Walking Wild symbol lands on top of a Wild symbol, a single multiplier will be added for the duration of the feature. This feature will end when there are no Walking Wild symbols left on the reel. The Kraken Bonus cannot be triggered during this feature.
Kraken Bonus Feature
This exhilarating feature is triggered by either 3, 4 or 5 Kraken Bonus symbols in the base game.
Upon entering the bonus, you will have a 9x5 grid, and depending on how many Kraken Bonus symbols you landed, this will determine how many hot zones you’ll begin with. Three Kraken Bonus symbols will land you one, four will give you two, and five will grant you three.
A hot zone is a Kraken symbol surrounded by eight multipliers of either x1, x2 or x3. When the reels spin, you can land a multiplier, a blank space or any of the four modifiers – a Treasure Chest, a Viking Coin, a Hammer, or another Kraken. Any multipliers that land on a hot zone are modified.
You’ll start off with 3 spins, and every time you land anything that is not a blank space, your spins are reset. A Viking Coin will award you 4 spins for the rest of the feature. Only one Viking Coin may land.
When a Hammer lands, a random number of multipliers will be struck by lightning and they will be doubled. A maximum of 3 Hammers can land.
When a Treasure Chest lands, all gold multipliers on the grid will be added together, and their value will be put inside the chest and added to the total meter. If a chest lands within a hot zone, gold multipliers will be added together, and they are then multiplied by the multiplier displayed. A maximum of 3 chests can land.
