Slot Boss’ - 13 Different Roulette styles - What’s the difference?

Here at Slot Boss we usually specialize in giving players the most unique slots experience possible. However, some of our more observant players will have noticed that we also have a fantastic live casino section which features some absolute classics like Live Blackjack and Live Roulette alongside some games you maybe wouldn’t expect such as Deal or No Deal Live and Monopoly Live but today we are going to be focusing on one of the Casino’s most popular games - Roulette.

What is Roulette

Roulette is one of the world’s favourite Casino games due to its variety of unique betting options. There are tonnes of different ways to play roulette but each variant of the popular game is fairly simple to grasp and play - even in-front of a live audience. Roulette was invented in the 17th century by a Frenchman who looked to create a motion slot that didn’t require outside energy. The funny thing about this, is that the inventor actually failed his goals but ended up creating the Roulette wheel, talk about a silver lining.

How do I Play Roulette?

We at Slot Boss have a description for every variant of Roulette on our site. However, here are some of the basics of Roulette.

Making a Bet

If players wish to make a bet on the Roulette table, they should set out their chips into the betting positions of their choice. Basic bets are divided into two main sections: inside and outside bets. Inside bets such as picking a specific number for the ball to land on are less likely to win but have massive payouts, while the outside bets are more likely to win but have significantly lower payouts. These bets include picking columns, squares, and the one that a lot of players usually go for, red or black.

Roulette Payouts and Odds

Roulette gives players more opportunities to win than most casino games, here are the potential payouts for this popular game

Bet Name: What provides a win? Payout (Standard game)
Straight Up Any singular number 35/1
Row Lands on 0 or 00 17/1
Split One bet on two joined spaces 17/1
Street Any three numbers (horizontal) 11/1

Slot Boss Variants

Here at Slot Boss we have 13 different types of Roulette, all of which with their own unique spin on the popular game.

Players Suite Roulette

This is the standard version of Roulette, there are no special additional features, we recommend playing this version if you are new to roulette and are still finding your feet in this popular game.

Live Roulette

The same as Players Suite Roulette, just with a live dealer. This is the one Roulette game which we don’t count as a variation.

Euro Roulette

The European Version of Roulette varies as it only has one 0 to be spun, this also has a lower house advantage if played in the Casino. European Roulette has a house advantage of approximately 2.7% meanwhile American Roulette is as high as 5%. Other than that, this game is largely the same.

Key Bet Roulette

A standard game with an additional feature: The Key Bet. This can be placed as a side bet and once bet on, will display the pot value which can be up to 100x the Key Bet stake. The Key Bet ring spins every game and highlights the award of a multiplier or a pot position. The wheel will then spin and if the ball lands in the key bet position, then the highlighted win will be awarded.

Live Immersive Roulette

European rules but played out in a video game style with HD vstreaming, blue screen technology and advanced video gaming graphics providing an ‘Immersive Roulette’ experience. This is the most realistic Roulette gaming experience.

Live Auto Roulette

If for some reason you want to play Roulette without one of our fantastic croupiers with the aim of having a faster Roulette experience then this is probably the variant for you. This is the fastest version of the popular casino game.

Live Auto Roulette La Partage

Now a lot of people look at this French variant of Auto Roulette and think “excusez-moi” because it’s a rare variant that is rarely played in European casinos. However, the difference is fairly simple - The 0 is now a house pocket meaning that if the marble lands on 0, players will only lose half their wager rather than all of it.

Live Speed Roulette

Live Roulette but a much faster experience. Yeah, that’s about it really.

VIP Auto Roulette

Now, at Slot Boss we believe every loyal player is a VIP, whether they’re spending £0.10p or £100 but if you are looking to bet bigger amounts, this VIP table is more likely to be your style compared to our standard game. It contains more ways to win and a more unique individual experience.

Live American Roulette

American Roulette features the additional 00 green square which means that players will win bigger if they do win, but wins will be less frequent.

Lightning Roulette

This is a striking variant of Roulette as every time a player spins the wheel they will play with 5 “lucky numbers”. These numbers may award players with a multiplier of up to 500x their stake.

Realistic Roulette

The classic game with new innovative graphics and a unique 3D layout.

Authentic Roulette Lobby

All for one! This game offers all variants of Roulette but doesn’t particularly specialise in any. The Jack of All trades in the online Roulette game.

Live London Roulette

Fairly similar to the standard European game, except it’s a slightly quicker game and has some unique graphics. You can also save a bet which means players can find their bets in their favourites. At least they avoided adding any typical British stereotypes, right?

An Alternative to Roulette

Roulette is an absolutely fantastic game but if you have read this article as a beginner and decided that you want to stick to slots, then we have five recommendations. We think at least one of these games will be a hit with most online slots fans. First up is Rainbow Riches which when you think about it, is the Roulette of slot games, this Irish slot is popular around the globe and can be found in most pubs and amusements. However, there is one slot that is significantly more popular than Rainbow Riches and that is Starburst which is the number one played slot on Slot Boss.

There are also Egyptian slots such as Book of Dead, TV slots such as 100k drop and animal friendly games such as Beehive Bedlam.
